Das nächste Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Major wird von PGL ausgetragen und findet im Mai statt.
Der Termin für das nächste CS:GO Major steht: Vom 9. bis 22. Mai soll in der belgischen Stadt Antwerpen das nächste Major stattfinden. Als Veranstalter wurde PGL ausgewählt, das auch das für das Major in Stockholm verantwortlich war. Das Hauptevent wird im "Sportpaleis" in Antwerpen stattfinden, einer Arena mit bis zu 23.000 Plätze, darunter 15.000 Sitzplätzen und findet vom 19. bis 22. Mai statt. Tickets sollen schon bald verfügbar sein.
Statt wie zuvor in Stockholm wird beim nächsten Major wieder nur eine Million US-Dollar Preisgeld geben. Auch erklärt PGL in der Pressemittelung, dass man weiterhin die COVID-19-Pandemie genau im Auge behält und die aktuelle Planung bei Bedarf anpassen wird.
Um sich für das kommende Major zu qualifizieren setzte Valve auch diesmal wieder auf das "Regional Major Ranking". Über mehrere Turniere können sich Teams Punkte für das Ranking verdienen und die besten Teams werden schließlich zum Major eingeladen.
